Finally, a premium, stainless steel exhaust system that allows you to retain your factory heater boxes. This exhaust system is ideal for street use on stock to moderate-performance air-cooled VW engines using your stock heater boxes or J tubes. Several applications available for Bus, Beetle and Karmann Ghia
Features for the German Look Heather Box Exhaust System are:
- Matches up to your heater boxes or J tubes. (Note: heater boxes not included)
- Fully TIG welded
- #430 stainless steel muffler with #304 polished tail tip(s)
- Fits stroked engines with stock rods, or 2mm (or less) shims under cylinders
- Thick flanges can be match ported
- Design allows for easy adjustment of your valves
- Built in M18 bung, for O2 sensor for fuel injected cars
- Fits under the rear apron on 1956 and up Type 1 Beetles (available for earlier Beatles at no extra charge!) and all Karmann Ghia models.
- Choose between standard or lowered bus applications
- Kit includes gaskets and high quality stainless steel clamps and hardware.
**Note**: Our heater box exhaust systems are no longer available with stock carburetor heat risers. You can still run a stock carburetor with the system, but you will not be able to utilize the heat riser function.
